A small group of teachers who were involved in the organisation of the 1994 International conference in Aberdeen have formed a Steering Group. This Steering Group aims to undertake the initial tasks involved in establishing the Scottish network.
Those currently involved in the work of this group are currently based in the North-East of Scotland but the aim is to ultimately establish a National Committee comprising representatives from different parts of the country. This will be essential if the organisation is to be able to work meaningfully and serve schools at a national level.
The Steering Group have been working voluntarily but with some help from Scottish Natural Heritage and British Telcom .
