The Negev desert welcomed our delegates with a traditional heat wave. The delegates took the heat in stride, drinking plenty of water which was generously provided by one of our sponsors - Eden Natural Mineral Water.
Some of the delegates had already arrived in Israel and to the Midrasha the
day before.
Official registration to the conference, though, began on Sunday morning.
Early Sunday morning the Caretakers of the Environment International Board met with Moshe Sharir (the Director of Midreshet Sde Boker) and members of the NEGEV97 Conference Organizing Committee.
The Minister of Agriculture and the Environment, Mr. Rafael Eitan, joins the conference participants for the first dinner, just before the opening ceremonies.
