ISRAEL
- Two schools are working on the Lund 2000 ‘Young Masters’ program
- Five schools are working on sea shore project under Hagit Meron from the Ocean Institute
- Sde-Boker school works on various local and national projects
- Annual general meeting is held, last one was in June in the Ocean Institute in Haifa
- Steering Committee meets 2-3 times per year, next meeting is on 21st of November

PORTUGAL
- In November ’99) we hosted a 3-day conference in the center of the country, Castelo Branco, with about 120 teachers and people from natural reserves and parks and local authorities from Portugal and Spain.
- We are also negotiating with the Institute for the Conservation of Nature the concession of a protected area for the development of environmental education activities to ASPEA. It is a very beautiful area with sand dunes, pine forest and the sea. It already has a visitor’s center and a place for accommodating about 50 people.

THE NETHERLANDS
- Two schools are working on the Lund 2000 ‘Young Masters’ program.
- The five schools, which have participated at the CEI conference in Costa Rica, are still working at the Sogalproject: ‘Education pathways towards sustainability’ together with their partnerschools in Costa Rica.
- In November a conference for secondary schoolteachers about Environmental Education and Sustainability was held.
- A competition for schools to present an environmental project was organised. The winning school got a cheque to spend for environmental education projects.
